Feb Photo 7 – Button

In my industry, I can usually get away with wearing jeans and a t-shirt to work. Occasionally even board shorts and thongs. Sometimes, however, I am required to dress in a more corporate manner, and actually dig out a button-up shirt and slacks. It can be a little bit of a culture shock after spending so long in casual clothing to then go to shirt and slacks! Sometimes they even required a tie (noose!).

This is one of my more casual shirts, usually reserved for the sorts of places that request a shirt and slacks, but no tie required.

To take this photo, I have used a method called ‘reverse lens’ photography. This involves getting a second lens (SLR, DSLR, doesn’t matter) and reverse it (as if the lenses were kissing each other!) with one obviously attached to your camera. Once you adjust the manual focus on the lens (the one attached to your camera) you will see some insanely closeup imagery. If you google the terminology, you will get more information on it, but it is very simple, and the results are simply amazing!
